Mechanical and ICT Project Manager

Up to €105,000 salary + package

Large international Main Contractor seeking an Mechanical and IT Technical / Project Manager to be responsible for the delivery of all Mechanical and Control Services on a Hyperscale Data Centre Project from procurement right through to completion based on site in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be joining their specialist Project Delivery team with its own specialist supply chain. Included in this is early definition of project goals, risk and opportunities, detailed/integrated and forward thinking planning alongside open and transparent communication which helps reduce the lead time for this project and all future projects moving forward.

Duties include:

• Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety best Practice
• To review Consultants & Contractors designs, identify potential issues and offer solutions.
• To lead the coordination & BIM modelling sessions (with support from the BIM Manager)
• To recommend trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisal.
• To review design and shop drawings, the project programme and contribute where necessary.
• To offer high level strategic thinking at project level.
• Develop the trade interface matrix & demarcation matrix to ensure all scope is captured
• To produce precise package reports and chair package weekly meetings
• To take responsibility for strategic control of the programme.
• Actively be involved with Last Planner workshops
• To offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions.
• Work closely with the Electrical, Mechanical & Controls Managers to ensure no scope gaps
• Thorough understanding of Mechanical & Controls (BMS) systems.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Regulations and Codes of Practice
• Promote and implement Zero Defects and Project quality Initiatives.
• Assist in Commissioning Management, testing & witnessing

The successful candidate will have strong Industry experience with a proven track record of successful projects. They will also have an in-depth knowledge of the construction process, preferably on large engineering projects and be able to understand the pre-construction process in order to organise and manage the design phase of a project. Commercial awareness on large projects and a good working knowledge of BIM Modelling will be looked at favourably. To be considered for this position you will hold recognised industry standard qualifications in Mechanical Installation or Design, as well as CSCS and SMSTS.
