Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Senior Electrical Design Engineer required for a highly-respected firm of MEP Consulting Engineers to work from their office in Sunbury-on-Thames. A partner lead practice they have a rich history stretching back over 40 years, delivering innovative building services solutions to prestigious client list within across the Data Centre, Commercial, Hotel, Historical, Retail, Residential, Mixed-Use and Fit-out markets. Successfully under taking commission up to £150m in value with key clients including; British Land, Santander, London Stock Exchange, The Crown Estate and UBS.

With Partners taking on hands on approach to client engagement, design and project delivery they seek to empower their engineers to take ownership of their own project portfolio while providing the support, training and tools to enable their engineers to succeed. As such the opportunity suits engineers who are seeking an employer that offers autonomy while also providing the backing of a successful established business. Reporting directly into the Sunbury Partner the successful Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be taking ownership of projects from inception through to completion with duties including;

• Development of concept designs & detailed design solutions,
• Undertaking calculations,
• Production of specifications & technical reports,
• Undertaking surveys to include asset verification, condition and dilapidation,
• Technical review of Electrical installations,
• Attendance of design team meetings & site meetings,
• When lead engineer undertake project management duties,
• Management and mentoring of junior engineers and CAD / BIM operators

To be considered individuals will possess a minimum of 5 years working as an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer, predominately within the UK Building Services Industry. You will be able to demonstrate technical knowledge in the design of electrical systems such as Lighting, LV / MV distribution, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, gained within the built environment. Additionally, you will hold formal qualifications to at least HNC / HND level in a related engineering subject such as Building Services or Electrical Engineering.

On offer is a highly competitive basic salary between £50,000 to £70,000 (subject to experience) + pension + healthcare + bonus.
