Principal Electrical Design Engineer sought in London to join a multi-disciplinary engineering
consultancy that providing sustainability focused building solutions, designed to have a positive
impact on the environment while also achieving the aims of their clients. Renowned as one of the built environment industry’s leading independent engineering consultancies, they have created a practice where staff are provided with the training, support to develop their careers.
Joining their dedicated Critical Systems team, you will work on the design of some of the most exciting Data Centre/critical facilities projects in the whole of europe, you will prepare both scheme and detailed engineering designs for the power systems for major data centre and other critical systems projects.
You will specialise in and be a leader in medium voltage and high current low voltage distribution systems.
You will take a lead role in the conceptual design of data centres/mission critical facilities, using software including Amtech, ETAPS or SKM power systems analysis software.
Requirements:
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or a Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng equivalent)
experience in an Electrical Engineering role within the power systems field preferably in a data centre/critical systems context
proven experience of detailed coordination with other design disciplines
Proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development
