Health and Safety Managers with local regulation knowledge will enjoy working for a Leading General Contractor on the construction of a large-scale Data Centre project in Dublin. Promote and ensure continued commitment to achieving consistently high standards in Health and Safety, to ensure successful, safe delivery of the project. This expanding company is an International Contractor working on some of the most exciting projects across Europe at the moment. This growing organisation have got another one to add to the list with this project and are fast becoming the “Contractor of Choice” for many of the world’s largest organisations in the Data Centre market.

Roles and Requirements

• Advise site management & site staff on Health and Safety matters.
• Conduct site Health & Safety compliance inspections and audits.
• Assist in the production, monitoring and review of method statements, risk assessments and work package plans.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root cause.
• Be instrumental in encouraging near miss and safety observation reporting.
• Review company and Sub-Contractors’ compliance paperwork.
• Assist with and/or deliver relevant training programmes inclusion of Inductions programmes, tool-box talks and briefings.
• Assist in the preparation of Health & Safety packs.
• Assist in the preparation of Construction Phase plans.
• Promote behavioural safety initiatives with operatives and staff.

Personal Requirements

• Experience of data centre projects or similarly M&E intensive construction.
• NEBOSH qualification is prerequisite, and IOSH membership is beneficial.
• At least 3 years experience working for a Principal Contractor
• Held Health and Safety Management position for 3+ years
