Global Construction and Engineering business are seeking to appoint an Electrical Engineering Project Manager for their specialist technology focused on delivering Electrical Low Voltage, ICT infrastructure, BMS and Telecommunications systems for major developments within the European Datacentre market. Based out of Central London this specialist technology division is currently delivering projects in the UK, Holland, Belgium and Ireland for some of the globes leading tech firms and datacentre colocation providers. The technology division was established in 2014 and following the development of several key client relationships resulting in several major project awards are entering a significant period of growth, increasing their T/O from £10m in 2018 to £65m in 2019 and onto £100m in 2020 – offering opportunities for individuals to fast-track their career development in varies directions.
The successful ICT / Electrical Low Voltage Project Manager will become an integral member of the team playing a key role in the delivery of ICT infrastructure on hyper-scale datacentre developments across Europe. Based on-site during the construction you will form part of the integrated project delivery team (working closely with other disciplines), leading on the ICT package including cabling, audio visual, security, communication systems and building management systems. Duties will incorporate;
Assist the pre-construction team to develop working solutions,
Produce and develop pricing schedules for project tenders,
Lead and control commercial aspects and costs of the project,
Ensure all aspects of the project execution plan are achieved,
Appoint and manage sub-contractors,
Lead the design development process with the internal technical team,
Ensure project is delivered in-line with client specification,
Assist in the production of O&M information,
To be considered individuals will need to possess a background as a Project Manager and hold a technical engineering background (ideally electrical, bms, structured cabling, ICT or similar), and will hold experience working on construction projects. It is likely your project experience will be within the built environment although individuals from an Oil & Gas or similar will be considered.
Given the locations of work the client is open to considering individuals who already live in country or whom are open to lodging during the week, flying in and out weekly. On top of the basic salary and standard package a 10% in country allowance will be paid as well as full accommodation, car hire, weekly flights and £500 monthly living allowance.
