Critical Facilities M&E Maintenance Manager sought for a brand new hyper-scale datacentre currently under construction in Dagenham. Joining before completion of the 60 MW facility you will work with the delivery team to ensure smooth completion & hand over of the facility before taking full engineering ownership.

The role sits within a rapidly growing colocation provider (owned by the world’s largest telecommunications service providers), & are on track to be a leading colocation provider in Europe working with clients to include major tech firms and major blue chip clients.

You will be instrumental in the planning, management and implementation of the delivery of FM Engineering Services to ensure operational performance is maintained at all times, to the highest possible standards. You will be responsible for 24/7 facility maintenance engineers and administrative support staff at that site.

Responsibilities:

• Upkeep of the datacentre facility and maintenance of the critical mechanical & electrical infrastructure
• Manage the sites engineering training matrix and be responsible for its implementation
• Work closely with the Datacentre Manager and take responsibility for ensuring services are delivered in accordance with best practice processes and procedures
• Act as an Authorised Person for the SSOW for both Low Voltage and High Voltage systems
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing a team
• To possess a clean driving license valid for use in the UK – this role will require the first 3-6 months to be based at our Hemel Hempstead site.
• Electrical HV & LV authorised person with recent switching experience
• HND or similar in relevant area
• IOSH – Managing Safely
