Electrical Associate Engineer – datacentre design / mission critical design

Salary to £80,000 + package

Global Built Environment Engineering Consultancy are expanding their Critical Facilities Division and are seeking to appoint an Electrical Associate Engineer in their South London office. The successful Electrical Associate will lead the design and construction of major datacentres up to 60 MW in size, across Europe, UK and Asia. Working directly with key clients in the Financial, Social Media and Technology sectors you will be involved in from intital client engagement on projects – influencing the direction of the design, leading all technical elements of the electrical design, agreeing deliverables and ensure the electrical team achieve meet the client’s brief.

The role offers the chance to work at the technical forefront of the building services industry where the MEP team leads the design process, with technology focused clients who are seeking to pushing the boundaries on developing energy efficient, highly resilient and secure facilities. You will possess technical excellence in the design of complex highly resilient electrical solutions as well as possessing the following;

• Expertise in the design of electrical systems to include UPS systems, Backup Power and MV / HV Power Distribution.
• Experience of designing electrical solutions for datacentres is highly advantageous although those with exposure to the Healthcare, Energy, Infrastructure or other critical facilities will be considered.
• Hold Chartered Engineer status with CIBSE or IET,
• Hold a British or EU passport or currently hold a valid UK work permit,
